Below you will find some of our most commonly asked questions pertaining to our self-closing shower valves
A self-closing shower valve is a water-saving fixture that automatically shuts off the water flow after a set period of time. These push-button valves are often used in public or commercial settings to reduce water waste and prevent abuse.
They’re ideal for use in public showers, gyms, campgrounds, beaches, locker rooms, and other high-traffic areas. Anywhere water conservation and vandal-resistance are important, self-closing valves help maintain control over water usage.
These valves reduce water waste by automatically turning off after use. This prevents showers from being left running and helps lower utility costs. They also promote hygiene and durability in shared environments thanks to their touch-free or metered operation and solid brass construction.
Yes. We carry models with thermostatic mixing, allowing users to adjust water temperature without compromising safety. This is especially useful in environments where hot water scalding must be prevented.
Our self-closing valves are made from durable solid brass with a high-polish chrome finish. They are built to withstand heavy use in commercial settings while maintaining a clean, professional look.
Yes. Many of our metering shower valves have adjustable timers, allowing you to set how long water flows after the button is pressed. This helps tailor water usage to the specific needs of your facility.
The cartridge is the internal push-button mechanism that controls the timing and flow of water. If the valve no longer shuts off properly, becomes hard to press, or the flow becomes inconsistent, it’s likely time to replace the cartridge. We sell replacement cartridges compatible with all of our valve models.
The water flow is controlled by a white adjustment cup located at the bottom of the cartridge. To change the flow rate, simply remove the cartridge from the valve body and turn the cup to increase or decrease the amount of water passing through to the output pipe. This allows for precise control of flow without replacing the entire valve.
