Hose Bibb Vacuum Breaker | Lead-Free, Solid Brass

Designed for use on yard hydrants, and hose bibbs to prevent back siphoning and contamination of the potable water supply. Installation provides protection of potential health risks and contamination in potable water. Comes complete with a breaking set screw. Once tightened set screw will break off to prevent tampering and removal.

  • Can this be left on during the winter?

    In the winter, you should remove your garden and drain the vacuum breaker so that it can drain properly.  When freezing conditions are possible, this vacuum breaker must be removed from yard hydrant so it can drain properly. This vacuum breaker is designed to protect hose connections from contamination in non-freezing conditions.

  • Are these GHT comptaible?

    Yes both the male and female ends are garden hose thread

  • Is this ASSE certified? What brand is this? Do you have a warranty on these?

    Yes. It is ASSE 1011 certified and stamped per requirements. These are made by Castle Brass, our proprietary label. We have sold these for almost 2 decades and rarely have complaints. Most of our customers are repeat customers. That being said, there is a 1 year warranty on these, but we highly doubt you'll have to use it.

  • My water pressure is high causing my hoses to burst. Will this hose bibb vacuum breaker prevent my water hose from bursting?

    No. This is a vacuum breaker. If you have a water pressure issue you need to get a pressure reducing valve.
