For me, this device is a lifesaver! My younger brother lives with me because he had a brain injury as a child. Hes the type that leaves doors, drawers, etc... open and frequently forgets to turn the water off when brushing his teeth and such. I put this in his bathroom shower and it is exactly what I needed. There is a set run time and then it turns off after that... every single time.

We bought these because a patient in our assisted living facilitiy with dementia left water running in the sink and water overflowed to basement below, ruining a basement ceiling. We replaced the shower valves and the faucets to avoid any other potential damage. The water now shuts off automatically, which is perfect for someone who forgets to turn things off. These are a less expensive alternative than motion detector units

Excellent quality, installation was easy, works great!! We installed it for washing off sand when coming from the beach.
